In this lecture, we will go through the following sections:
1. Example of Hall effect (25 minutes)
2. pn junction - Diffusion current (25 minutes)

For the first 3 weeks no notes will be given as Dr Norlaili's power point slides will suffice for your preparation before/after class

I will like to apologize to one of the student whom I probed about the group number. When I asked him which group did Boron (B) fall he replied Group 13. The answer is correct based on the latest IUPAC standard (1988). However, the one that I follow and is in the textbook of Streetman is based on either old IUPAC standard (Europe) or CAS standard (US).
