In this lecture, we will go through the following sections:
1. OBE overview (15 minutes)
2. Atoms and Bohr Models (30 minutes)
3. Classification of Materials (20 minutes)
4. Intrinsic versus Extrinsic Materials (30 minutes)

For the first 3 weeks no notes will be given as Dr Norlaili's power point slides will suffice for your preparation before/after class

To link to her slides:

or if you want to directly download it from her original source, the following link is provided:

The following link is the lecture that I delivered:

Lecture 1-2 EEE133 18th Feb, 2014

The following 3 video links are what I presented in class:

1. Structure of Atom
2. Classification of Materials
3. Intrinsic and Extrinsic Semiconductors
***Note that in class I delivered them by turning off the audio and explain them using my own words based on my understanding of the materials.

Some of the important formula for you to understand:
$\displaystyle E_g=13.6- \frac {13.6} {n^2}~(eV) $

for the case of a hydrogen atom.

  1. Thanks for taking the time to discuss this, I feel strongly about it and love learning more on this topic. If possible, as you gain expertise, would you mind updating your blog with more information? It is extremely helpful for me. cell phone detection
